Each phase has an explicit **done-when**. Do not proceed until it's met. Check in
between phases rather than assuming scope.

Phase 2 - Clock + dev HUD [heading typography normalized]

Wire the master clock and scrubber. Bind engine output to a throwaway debug HUD:
numeric readouts + rough 2D plots of pressures/volume over the beat (a proto-
Wiggers as a *dev tool*).
- **Done when:** scrubbing the beat shows correct, live curves in the HUD -
  visual confirmation the engine behaves before any 3D depends on it.
